Kicked in the ass

I was browsing around the New York Times web site this morning and I came across a collecion of images titled Campaigning in Texas.
I was impressed by the images and googled the photographer.

I have not been this impressed by a photographer for quite some time. Damon Winter blew my mind with the quality and versatility of his photographs. It was both inspiring and depressing to see his work. Inspiring because I got so excited to see someones work that is truly stunning. Depressing because it makes me realize how much farther I have to go with my own photography. But at the end of all the emotions it just makes me want to take more pictures and work that much harder to achieve some original photographic achievements of my own.
