The last visible remnants of the old Hudson & Manhattan Railroad tunnels at ground zero were recently demolished.
All that remains now, hidden beneath the No. 1 subway line, is this ruined section of the honeycombed tube, looking almost like a dinosaur's rib cage. And no less obsolete.
